Essential cookies
Required for login sessions, authentication tokens, security, routing, and core product functionality. These cannot be disabled without breaking the service.
Preference storage
Used to remember UI choices, cookie consent status, recent workspace state, theme preferences, and dashboard layout settings across sessions.
Analytics
May help us understand which features are used, where friction occurs, and how to improve the product. Analytics are non-personalized where possible.
Local storage
Main AI uses localStorage to preserve active analysis state, document history, and dashboard configuration so they survive a page refresh without re-fetching.
Managing cookies
You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies will break login, session persistence, and upload behavior.
Consent
Where legally required, we request consent before placing non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time via your browser settings or by contacting us.
We do not use cookies to track you across third-party websites or serve advertising. All storage is limited to operating and improving Main AI itself.
Specific cookies we use
- Firebase Auth tokens — session authentication, stored in IndexedDB/localStorage
- mainai_share_name — remembers your display name for shared document comments
- mainai_consent — records your cookie consent decision
- Service worker cache — stores static assets for offline and fast load performance
Third-party cookies
Stripe may set cookies when you interact with the payment checkout flow. These are governed by Stripe's own cookie policy. We do not control third-party cookies placed by Stripe.
